Which facial aspect it applies to and how many options there are possible for that, so you know where to move the slider.

^_^īut you can't enter ME2 face codes into ME1, so I took my trusty notepad and dissected each letter/number of the face codes into what exactly they correlate to. Thanks to Mass Effect 2 faces I've been able to make some pretty Sheps by tweaking other peoples beautiful people. One of my favorite parts of ME2 was the face codes. I kind of suck at using the ME character creator.

(And some Kaidan loving.)īut upon booting it up I ran into the problem I used to have.

i might have to now though. So today, with so much free time on my hands, I booted up my trusty old Mass Effect 1 disc! For some nostalgia and to make a more renegade character. i remember reading some article about using the gibbed save editor and actually calculating a facecode but i was really hoping i didnt have to do it. Guess that means we're out of luck, can't think of anything anymore that could make it work. Save editor doesn't work either, you can export a ME2 face but only import that face in ME2 again, no way of taking it over to ME3. Guess that's what you meant, but only now I think I fully understand.

First tried browsing the presets though only to find out that one of them indeed has the same code that was displayed in the squad menu, which means the code displayed in the squad menu is wrong. I wanted to try what happens if instead of entering the code I move all the sliders to the positions that match the code. My theory was (maybe I misunderstood you) that the code displayed in the squad menu was correct, just that there was a bug in the face creation if I entered the code. It's just baffling that Bioware never patched it. Originally posted by Stinkwatz:Yes I did that too. Is it possible to edit an imported face? i tried to but i dont get an option to, what did you do to get it to work with your other characters? I've got an idea, maybe the bug is that some slider has fewer options in ME2 or something like that, and having a number/letter above that in the code makes it default to one of the presets. It's odd because with my other characters I tried so far it works. Yes I understand your problem too now, seems to be the same that I'm having with my current build. so my question is is there a fix other than actually counting the tick marks in each slider section in me1 and just doing doing it again in 3, which tbh wouldn't actually be that hard but still pain in my dongo if you feel me. I understand, but what im telling you is thats the broken part, my face code for 2 is 3G.AAV.72.AG1.645.4 if you enter that into me2 or 3's code box or whatever, you'll get the default custom face, like a ginger asian dude with a patchy goatee. i understand, but what im telling you is thats the broken part, my face code for 2 is 3G.AAV.72.AG1.645.4 if you enter that into me2 or 3's code box or whatever, you'll get the default custom face, like a ginger asian dude with a patchy goatee. I wonder if this is a bug caused by some sliders being in the "wrong" place? Must try to find out what's going on because I want to keep my ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ face when going to ME3.Īnyway, the other two I tried worked fine. Importing from ME1 to ME2 worked, but from ME2 to ME3 switched to something that looked more like the old default Femshep. I said above that your face might look very different in ME3, that was from my previous playthrough where I had a very similar face. Entering the same code in ME3 and it's the same wrong face. What's odd is that one of them (my current playthrough), when entered, results in a completely different face. They have different codes that can be used in either ME2 or 3. I just checked with a few ME2 characters whose faces were imported from ME1.
